We are very pleased to introduce lovely costume jewelry designed and created by seven year-old Mia Rose! Her pieces have been extremely well received since her premiere event in December of 2009 nearly selling out her entire inventory at each show!

After years of watching her mother and learning by her side, Mia Rose has launched her own line of lovely jewelry designs. Filled with bright colors and the whimsy of youth and at a very attractive price point, you will find lots of fun original pieces in her collection.

In addition to being a wonderful young artist, Mia Rose is also a budding philanthropist. She has decided that in 2010 she wants to support Heifer International in order to help put an end to world hunger and help families around the globe. Currently Heifer International is focusing significant efforts to aid in the long-term recovery and future stability of the families in Haiti.

Mia Rose will be donating a large percentage of all of her jewelry sales this year to Heifer International. Her goal is to raise at least $520 for Heifer International before December 31st, 2010 which will be enough to provide a flock of chicks and a heifer along with all of the associated training and support to help set families in seriously impoverished communities on the road out of poverty and into self-sufficiency.

Mia Rose introduced her 2010 designs and kicked off her year-long fundraising effort in a joint jewelry show with her mother, jewelry designer Trish Thackston, on Saturday January 16th, 2010 at Spill The Beans Coffee and Chat House. Together they raised $235 for Heifer International and their recovery efforts in Haiti. Many thanks to the wonderful customers who came out to support us!
